Spring colours

It is always a delight when the spring colours burst through after nature has been regrouping over the winter months. All of a sudden, things seem to change, yet we know that it is only when the plants are ready do the colours emerge. Much has been happening in the weeks before.

I have been walking along a path for weeks and only noticed green and the occasional different texture in grass and foliage. Then today, this wonderful splash of colour caught my attention. I had assumed from the distance that they were daffodils – on closer inspection it can be seen that they are not. So, an extra surprise and reward for my curiosity.

As I walked back to the path, I was reminded that taking a few extra steps and taking a little extra time can be well rewarded.

That has spurred me to consider something else that I could usefully do…so I may return here later.

If not though, have you taken a mere small diversion recently and been well rewarded. Or, like so many of us are you in a rush too and missing some of the extra joy that could so easily be fitted into our day?

My best wishes,

Peter
